Selection information

What we need to select an HCP pump

Send the duty details, not just the old model number.

Six things to send

The information used for a pump selection

If something has not been measured yet, mark it as unknown. Do not guess a value.

  1. Duty

Required flow and total head, including the pipework, valves and discharge route.

  2. Liquid

Liquid type, temperature, pH and any solids, fibres or abrasive material.

  3. Installation

Sump or tank dimensions, water levels, connections and how the pump will be positioned.

  4. Power and controls

Supply voltage, phase, starter, panel, level controls, alarms and operating pattern.

  5. Access

Lifting, removal and maintenance constraints, including anything that needs a site check.

  6. Existing pump

The full data plate and safe photographs of the pump, pipework, controls and wider installation.

Safety

Do not enter, open or energise equipment for an enquiry

Only collect information that is visible and safe to reach. Isolation, electrical testing, lifting and confined-space work need competent people and the right controls.

Current technical data

Check the HCP source before choosing a model

Series names help narrow the search. The final choice must use the current manufacturer record for the exact model and UK electrical supply.
